The BYD Battery-Box LV5.0+ is a next-generation low-voltage battery module designed for modern solar self-consumption, backup and off-grid energy-storage applications. It uses BYD lithium iron phosphate cell technology and a compact cell-to-pack structure to deliver 5.12kWh of usable energy in a durable floor-standing enclosure.

Operating at 51.2V nominal voltage, the LV5.0+ supports a 40–58.4V working range and up to 100A continuous charge/discharge current. Its 200A peak current rating for 10 seconds helps support temporary high inrush loads when paired with a compatible inverter and correctly designed DC system.

Each battery includes an independent BMS for protection and intelligent management. CAN and RS485 communication enable integration with approved external inverters. The modular system can be expanded up to 32 batteries in parallel for a maximum energy capacity of 163.84kWh, allowing a small installation to grow with future energy requirements.
